One Of The Best Ways To Meet People and Get Your Site Seen!
One of the best ways to meet people and get your site seen is to introduce yourself to others when you join forums, and to welcome new members that join.
By doing that members have the opportunity to welcome you and to visit your site in your sig file and website.
And if you meet the new members before others you might discover that they have the next great Downline Builder, Money Making program, List Building program, or etc...
I met Axel of ProfitRally in a forum where he introduced himself to the forum. When I went to welcome him I checked out his website (ProfitRally) that he mention in his introduction.
To my surprise, I knew that it was going to take the net by storm and some.
So, I instantly joined ProfitRally before I even welcome Axel to the forum. As soon as I joined, I started a thread on ProfitRally in the Downline Builder forum, and the rest is history.
Currently, I have 14,000+ members in my ProfitRally downline and it's the largest one at ProfitRally.
The point of the story, is that Axel would have missed out on meeting the forum members and letting us know about his program if he hadn't introduced himself.
I would have missed out on the opportunity to get the jump on others if I hadn't went to the introduction forum to welcome Axel.
So, what action do I suggest that you take?
Introduce yourself to others when you join forums, and welcome new members if it's allowed.
You can start by introducing youself here by going to the forum for introduction:
Introduce Yourself
This section is to Introduce Yourself and Welcome new members. _________________ Captkirk

Capt,
I must totally hands down agree with you when you speak about the Intro section of a forum.
This is the most important part of any forum and the most powerful tool for networking.

Yes, the introduction forum is the "most" important forum on the board 2nd to none in my book.
If a person is serious about growing their business, meeting new friends, and making new contacts they better not skip the introduction forum.
I would buy, join, and promote programs of friends that I have met in the introduction forums first before I would from anyone in the other forums put together. _________________ Captkirk

We buy things from people we like...Period!
Wouldn't you trust buying something from a trusted friend rather than buying something from a stranger you hardly know?
But, don't just participate in the introduction forum just to get your sig file and website seen because it will backfire on you and will hurt you in the long run. _________________ Captkirk

Yes, I too agree with captkirk on introducing yourself in the forums. I always introduce myself now in the forums and I have to say I have gained more sign ups than I had before and it has given me the chance to meet some really nice people and to learn more about their businesses and they to learn about mine. I've known captkirk from many different forums and I've also signed up under him in quite a few things and it's because he introduces himself, welcomes new members and there to help if you need it, it shows more of a person than just another ad.
So, Thanks captkirk for all the great advice!
Have a Great day!

You're Welcome!
Thanks for being a friend. It really makes a difference.
So, when you started your forum I didn't hesitate to join and to help out when I could.
I joined Duffy's NEW Free Advertising Forum because of you without hesitation.
Friends really do join each others programs if we have an interest in what they're offering.
BTW, it's great seeing you in the introduction forums that we share. _________________ Captkirk

This forum has W..O..R..K. set as a dirty word
You can tell the true forum net ****** by the interaction in the intro. & body of the forum. Showing interest in others stirs a curiosity to get to know you, the interaction creates a bond and trust.
Would you buy from a stranger or invite a stranger into your house before you would a friend?
The advertisement is a secondary part of the forum. The real meat is in the interacting part.
I have been trying to get people to comprehend that point and I know that the Cap always preaches the good word of intros and interaction.
If anyone you know could use some pointers on effective forum advertising I have a link. Free Ad Forum Intro

Thanks, onomoney (Brad), for your Forum Intro link. Question to all: Maybe this is silly, but I wondered if people prefer being called by their user namer or real name. I'm starting to recognize user names, and real names. Which should I use when posting? Does it matter? Terri |

Hi Terri,
If a person use his real name in the thread, I use his real name.
If a person use his user name, like I do, I call them by their user name.
If you welcome a person in the introduction forum and they include a name they prefer, I use that name.
If you welcome a person in the introduction forum and they don't include a name, I use the user name.
If you welcome a person in the introduction forum and they include their user name as their signature, I use the user name.
If in doubt, just ask them what they prefer to be called. _________________ Captkirk

Hi Guys,
This is all such great advice. I have learned
to introduce myself in forums and it is a very
valuable lesson.
After seeing several of you in different forums
I noticed a pattern in the responses you were
receiving. I realized that you always participated
in discussions, and always welcomed members
which is a great feeling.
You even remembered who they are from other
forums! That is a personal touch that most people
would appreciate.
Being a newbie a year and a half ago, I was very shy
about introducing myself because it all seemed so
intimidating. However, I realized that in order
to get people to know, and trust you from behind your
screen, this type of forum interaction is key.
I felt rather silly writing my first hello to a faceless
audience but I'm completely elated that I did it...
I quietly learn a lot from the "masters"
(you know who you are) and the lessons are
there for all... if you care to notice...
A simple hello is all it takes... even if you're shy
like I was. Take the first step and these kind folks
will definitely do the rest.
Best Wishes,
anique. _________________
