Day 1: Arrive Ho Chi Minh City

* Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City and transfer to hotel.
* The rest of the day is at leisure.
* Meals on your own.
* Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City-Cu Chi-Ho Chi Minh City (B/L) (45km – 1h00)

* A morning city tour of dynamic Ho Chi Minh City, still called Saigon by many locals, to visit the former Presidential Palace (ouside), the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office, a lacquer ware factory and Thien Hau Pagoda in the city’s bustling Chinatown.
* Lunch in a restaurant.
* In the afternoon, visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the long struggle for independence.
* Dinner on your own .
* Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City-Danang-Hoi An (B/L) (1050km – 1h15: by plane)

* After breakfast, transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport for a short flight to the central port city of Danang.
* When arriving in Danang, transfer to Hoi An, a major Asian trading port in the 17th and 18th centuries whose architecture and local people’s lifestyle have changed little over the years.
* Check in Hoian hotel.
* Have a walking tour of the ancient town centre to visit the former merchants’ homes, the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and the colorful market, PhucKien Assembly Hall, PhungHung Old Merchant House.
* Lunch in a restaurant.
* Dinner on your own .
* Overnight in Hoian.

Day 4: Hoian-Hue (B/L) (100km – 2h30)

* Early in the morning after breakfast, leave Hoi An for Hue, hoian_1the former imperial capital of Vietnam.
* The scenic route passes through Danang before climbing over the Pass of Ocean Clouds and dropping down to the wonderfully photogenic fishing village of Lang Co.
* Arrive in Hue late in the afternoon and transfer to hotel.
* Lunch in a local restaurant.
* In the afternoon, visit the elaborate mausoleum Emperor Khai Dinh and the Imperial Citadel from which the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945.
* Dinner on your own .
* Overnight in Hue.

Day 5: Hue-Hanoi-Halong (B/L)

* After breakfast, transfer to Hue Airport for a short flight to Hanoi, the modern day capital of Vietnam.
* Transfer by road to Halong when arriving in the airport.
* Have lunch in a restaurant.
* Dinner on your own .
* Overnight in Halong.

Day 6: Halong-Hanoi (B/L) (160km – 3h30)

* After breakfast, a morning cruise in a private junk on the emerald water of Halong Bay, among the 3,000 spectacular limestone islands. In 1962 the Vietnam Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism designated Ha Long Bay a Renowned National Landscape Monument.
* Ha Long Bay was first listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994, in recognition of its outstanding, universal aesthetic value. In 2000 the World Heritage Committee additionally recognised Ha Long Bay for its outstanding geological and geomorphological value, and its World Heritage Listing was updated.
* End the cruise with a fresh seafood lunch on board.
* Return to Hanoi by road in the afternoon.
* Dinner on your own .
* Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 7: Hanoi (B/L)

* A full-day city tour of Vietnam’s capital. Hanoi is a unique city with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and oriental temples. The city tour includes such sites as Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (ouside), the One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature.
* After lunch in town, continue to the Museum of Ethnology and end the afternoon with a visit to the Lake of the Hoan Kiem Lake (Restored Sword) and the Ancinet Quarter.
* In the evening, enjoy a Vietnamese traditional water puppet show.
* Dinner on your own .
* Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 8: Hanoi Departure day. (B) - the last destination of Vietnam travel

* At leisure until your transfer to Noi Bai Airport.
