Day 1: Arrival in Luang Prabang (D)

* Arrive in Luang Prabang Airport. Meet our guide at the airport and transfer to our hotel in downtown Luang Prabang. Welcome drink and tour briefing in the afternoon (If you come in the afternoon, the tour briefing will be done at dinner time).
* Welcome Dinner.
* Overnight Luang Prabang.

Day 2: Discovery of Luang Prabang (B , L)

* Luang Prabang is a charming ancient town, which was recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO thank to its outstanding historical and cultural value.
* Today we take our time to explore some of most important monasteries in town and the royal palace as well as the museum.
* A special afternoon tour brings us to some more remote places and markets.
* We learn about the history of Luang Phabang as well as about the kings family and their former life…
* Dinner on your own.
* Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 3: Luang Prabang - Nong Khiaw - Muong Ngoi Kao (B, L, D)

* After breakfast, we take boat up the Mekong River. On the way, we stop at paper making village, Lao sticky rice wine making village and Pak Ou Cave (1000 Buddha Cave). At the confluence of the Mekong and the Nam Ou, we continue up the Nam Ou River and stop for lunch at Pha Lai restaurant.
* Nam Ou is the longest inland river in Laos. The cruise along the Nam Ou offers us an enjoyable time of viewing the beautiful scenic landscape and stunning mountain.
* We arrive in Muang Ngoi around 5:00pm, a full enjoyable day of river trip.
* The night will be spent in a guesthouse in Muong Ngoi Kao.
* Approximately: 6 hours boat
* Accommodation: Ning Ning Guesthouse

Day 4: Muong Ngoi Kao - Muong Khua (B, L)

* It is worth an early wake up to watch beautiful sunrise over lime stone mountain and wonder around the Ngoi village.
* After breakfast we embark to continue our journey up the Nam Ou past picturesque scenery. We stop for lunch served with local food on the river bank. We continue to Muang Khua for over night in a guest house.
* Muong Khua is a small town inhabited by Yunanese, Vietnamese and Lao. There are some colonial building can be found. The town is 45 km from Laos – Vietnam border, recently open to foreigner.
* From here, we’ll enter Vietnam end start the infamous North West loop.
* Dinner on your own.
* Approximately: 4 hours boating
* Accommodation: Sinary Guesthouse

Day 5: Muong Khua - Tay Trang Border - Dien Bien Phu/100 km (B, L)

* After breakfast, we travel through one of the most remote area of Northern Laos toward Lao – Vietnam border. In the rainy season, there will be several river crossings along this bumpy ride! Our guide from Vietnam will pick you up at Tay Trang border and transfer you to Dien Bien Phu for check-in.
* Dien Bien Phu is well known through out the world as a battle field in the first Indochina War. The city, 45 km from the Laos border, locates in Muong Thanh Valley famous for its tasty rice and Thai minority traditional dance.
* After lunch, we visit the historical sites such as De Castrie’s bunker, the Dien Bien Phu museum, the A1 hill…
* Dinner on your own.
* Approximately: 3 hours drive
* Accommodation: Muong Thanh Hotel

Day 6: Dien Bien Phu - Sin Ho - Muong Lay - Paso/195km (B, L)

* After breakfast, we drive to Sin Ho. The road twists and passes through the picturesque sceneries. Moreover, we’ll have chance to encounter with the minorities people as White Thai, White Hmong…
* We arrive in Sin Ho around lunch time. Sin Ho now day is famous for its medical plantation and its tropical orchid variety.
* After lunch, we continue the ride on a winding road to Paso, a little town lies on a confluence of Black River, famous for its giant cat fish. We arrive to Paso by late afternoon for check-in.
* The night will be spent in the hotel on the river.
* Dinner on your own.
* Accommodation: Lan Anh Hotel
* Approximately: 5 hours drive

Day 7: Paso - Lai Chau - Tam Duong - Sapa/130km (B, L)

* The drive from Paso to Sapa is one of the most scenery and mountainous stretch of road in the whole of Viet Nam. We pass by many small villages of Red and White Hmong, Black Dao and White Thai ethnic minorities. We stop at Tam Duong for lunch.
* After lunch, the road weaves its way through the picturesque valley and mountain. We will drive uphill to the highest pass “Heavens Gate Pass” which is in a height of 2000 meter. If the weather is clear the views here are magnificent. There are plenty of possibilities for making photo stops.
* We arrive in Sapa in the afternoon.
* Visit of Cat Cat village to visit the H'mong tribe (2 hours trekking).
* Dinner on your own.
* Approximately: 3 hours drive.
* Accommodation: Overnight in Hotel in Sapa.

Day 8: Sapa - Ta Van Village (B,L,D)

* Have breakfast in the hotel or restaurant (optional) before the trip starts. We walk along the main road for a while then take a small path up hill to get to Lao Chai village of the Black H’Mong tribe.
* The trek brings you through the upper mountain range of Sapa overlooking down to its valley. Our guide will prepare lunch in a local house while you walk around the village to meet the tribe and visit their catholic church.
* After lunch, continue to Tavan village to visit the Day tribe, which is supposed to be the most beautiful one in the area then you will stay first night at local house.
* Dinner at the home-stay.
* Overnight in Tavan village at a Dzay family.

Day 9: Tavan – Giangtachai- Ban Ho village (B, L, D)

* Have breakfast and check out before the trip starts.
* Trek down to Giang Ta Chai village to visit the Red Dzao tribes.
* Have a picnic lunch on the way then keep going along the buffalo trails to get to Ban Ho where you will see the amazing scenery and beautiful waterfall.
* Dinner at the home-stay.
* Overnight in Ban Ho village at a Tay family.

Day 10: Ban Ho village - Sapa – Lao cai- Hanoi (B, D)

* Have breakfast at the home-stay then come back to Sapa by private car.
* Discover Ham Rong moutain to see the orchid garden.
* Lunch on your own.
* Free at leisure or walk around in the market to see the locals people purchasing in Sapa market.
* Private vehicle transfer back to Lao Cai railway staytion for night train back to Hanoi.
* Dinner in a local restaurant.
* Over night on train (air-conditioned soft sleeper).

Day 11 Hanoi (B, L)

* When arriving, transfer to your selected hotel.
* Visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (outside), his former residence, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple and the Ancient Quarter.
* Join a water puppet show.
* Lunch at local restaurant.
* Dinner on your own.
* Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 12: Hanoi - Ha Long Bay (B,L,D)

* We enjoy breakfast before travelling by roads to Halong Bay. We make stop en route in Sao Do. We continue our journey Halong Bay and spend the remainder of the day for a well - earned rest on Bai Chay Beach.
* Arrive in Bai Chay warf. Welcome on board with welcome drink then check in deluxe cabin
* Experience our fresh sea food set lunch while cruising
* Heading to Bai Tu Long Bay
* Visiting Vung Vieng Floating Fishing Village
* Unique trip by traditional rowing boat to visit one destination with two great sites as Vung Vieng – Floating Fishing Village and Thung Cave (Cao Cave)

Day 14: Hanoi - Departure (B)

* There is a free time for you to relax or further explore Ha Noi . The trip ends after your transfer to Noi Bai Airport for departure.
