A former French hill station, located in the middle of the breaktaking landscapes in the north of Vietnam, Sapa is one of the most wonderful places in Asia and is a magical combination of landscapes, ethnic cultures and bracing mountain air.
There are excellent areas for hiking through lush mountain valleys to the remote villages of diffirent minorities, including the Black H'mong and the Red Dzao ....
Laochai - TaVan – Ban Ho - Thanh Phu with 10 villages of 5 different minorities.

Day 1 : Hanoi – Lao cai (420km – 10h00 : by train)

* Pick up at your hotel at around 20h30 and transfer to the railway station to catch the night train to Lao Cai (Departure: 21h30, Arrival: around 6h00 on the next day).
* Overnight on train (air-conditioned soft sleeper).

Day 2 : Laocai -Sapa - Laochai - Tavan ( 4 hours trekking, 12 km, 2 villages ) (B,L,D )

* Arrive at Lao Cai railway station early in the morning.
* Transfer to Sapa by our bus. Arrive at Sapa round 7:30 AM; Breakfast start at 8h00am to get to Laochai village. Enjoy the overall pictures of the villages among terraces.
* Visit the H'mong living in wooden and bamboo houses.
* Continue going to Tavan village to visit the Dzay minority.
* Picnic lunch on the way.
* Dinner and overnight at the home-stay. (in Tavan village at a Dzay family).

Day 3 : TaVan -Ban Ho (6 hours trekking, 16 km, 3 villages ) ( B,L,D )

* Breakfast with the local family and then get to a village located at the foot of Hoang Lien Son range via bamboo forests.
* Visit a waterfall and a rattan bridge.
* After visitting Giang ta chai village, get down to the river, cross it and keep going to Su Pan village for 2 minorities - The H'mong and the Red Dzao.
* Get off the road to go down hill to BanHo village.
* Picnic lunch on the way.
* Dinner with a Tay family.
* Overnight at Ban Ho with a Tay family who have houses on stilts.

Day 4 : Ban Ho -Thanh Phu ( 6 hours trekking, 14 km, 3 villages )( B,L,D )

* Get up early in the morning for fresh air and peaceful daily life of the people.
* Breakfast and leave the village for a hard day.
* Walk uphill to a smallest and almost untouched village of the Red Dzao (Nam toong). Go further to another village on the same side of of the mountain range to see the Xa Pho ethnic group in Nam Ken. Get down to the river and go up to Mi Son to visit the Xa Pho again.
* Picnic lunch on the way.
* Spend the night in ThanhPhu village at a Tay family.
* Dinner with the local family.
* Overnight in homestay.

Day 5 : Thanh Phu - Sapa ( 11 km with 4 hours trekking and 23 km by car ) ( B,L )

* Breakfast at Thanh Phu village.
* Walk back to Su Pan village where our car take you back to Sapa.
* Lunch at Su Pan.
* On the way back, visit the ancient stone circle (stones decorated with ancient carvings which are said to have described the life of the people lost in the mists of prehistory)
* Check in hotel.
* Dinner on your own.
* Overnight in hotel.

Day 6 : Sapa - Cat cat - Laocai and back to Hanoi ( B,L )

* Breakfast at hotel, visit village of the black H'mong (Catcat),
* walk around visiting people in the village and the hydroelectric power station built by the French in the old days.
* Back town have lunch and check out hotel.
* Free to explore the town until take bus to get to Laocai Station for the night train back to Hanoi.
* Dinner on your own.
* Overnight on the train (air-conditioned soft sleeper).

Day 7: Hanoi (B)

* Arrive to Hanoi at 05:30. Have breakfast before turning back your hotel on your own.
