Day 1 : Arrival Hanoi (D)

Upon the arrival, you are met at the Noi Bai airport and transferred to the hotel by Vietnam Hidden Charm’s guide. Check-in and take the relax. In the late afternoon, enjoy the Water Puppet Show, the unique Vietnamese traditional art, followed to have dinner at nice local restaurant. OVERNIGHT IN HANOI

One Piliar Pagoda

Day 2 : Hanoi City – Night on train to Lao Cai (B,L)

Today we enjoy a full day city tour starting with the Ho Chi Minh Complex. This famous site contains the mausoleum of the nation’s founder Ho Chi Minh (Closed on Friday & Monday) the Presidential Palace and the Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts. Close to this complex is the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origins date back to the foundation of city. We follow this with the Temple of Literature, which is well known as the first university of Vietnam and the impressive Ethnologic Museum (Closed Friday), dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups. The beautiful West Lake and the History Museum with an excellent collection of artifacts illustrating the Vietnamese history are also highlight of our trip. Transfer to Hanoi Railway to Lao Cai. OVERNIGHT ON TRAIN

Day 3 : Lao Cai – Sapa – Cat Cat Village (B,L)

Arrival to Laocai station is scheduled at 6am you will be pick up and transferred to Hotel. Then there will be a walking tour to the hill tribe villages of Cat Cat, and Sansaho home to the Black H’mong hill tribes’ minority peoples. As we walk to the villages nestled in the valley below Sapa, we will meet some of the local minority people on their way to and from Sapa. Here we have the opportunity to share cultural experiences with the families that live in the area. OVERNIGHT IN SAPA

Day 4 : Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Lao Cai – Night on train to Hanoi (B,L)

After breakfast, we then embark on a lovely walk that will take us along buffalo paths and trails and through several hill tribe villages of Lao Chai and Tavan, home to H’mong, and Dzay people. This is an absolutely spectacular walk through stunning scenery inhabited by some of the friendliest people you can meet. Stopping for a picnic lunch on the way at a family in Ta Van village. Return to Sapa, transfer to the train station for night train back to Hanoi. OVERNIGHT ON TRAIN

Day 5 : Ha Noi – Ha Long (B,L,D)

Early arrival in Hanoi. Having breakfast at the local restaurant before take 3 hour drive to Halong City. Arriving at the jetty around 12:30 pm. Welcome on board of junk and set sail through the bay while lunch is served. Passage into the magical bay, where thousands of sculpted limestone islands rise from the waves like dragons’ teeth. After lunch, we cruise to the inside of magical landscape of Dinh Huong island, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island, Binh Phong mountain, Sung Sot Cave, Round over Titop Beach. Enjoy sunset on the top of the Titop mountain or you take a bamboo row boat to discover a water tunnels with many coral reefs in a scenic lagoon. Back on board Junk, enjoy dinner on boat. OVERNIGHT ON BOAT

Day 6 : Ha Long – Ninh Binh (B, Brunch)

Rising to the tranquil beauty of the bay we have time for an early morning dip with joys and emotions for watching sunrise on sea followed by breakfast. This morning we continue to move around the bay to find more secluded areas. The junk will be near us at all times serving as a back up vessel for those that require it. At around midday we will return to the main harbor before transferring to our awaiting vehicle for the journey to Ninh Binh via Thai Binh and Nam Dinh. OVERNIGHT IN NINH BINH

Hoa Lu - Tam Coc

Day 7 : Ninh Binh – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Flight to Hue (B,L)

Morning driver to Hoa Lu – the temples dedicated to Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh Dynasty (968-80), and Emperor Le Dai Hanh of the Le Dynasty (980-1009). The ancient Hoa Lu Citadel (most of which has since been destroyed) once covered an area of three square kilometers. Proceed to Tam Coc, you take private sampan for a leisurely 2.5-hour cruise. As the boat gently slices through the water, notice the enormous limestone karsts jutting out from the green rice fields giving rise to Hoa Lu’s other name, “Halong on Land”. And on the way to transfer to the airport for flight to Hue, you can visit But Thap pagoda. Arrive in Hue. Check in hotel. OVERNIGHT IN HUE

Day 8 : Hue Imperial city (B,L)

After breakfast, you start to discover Hue. This small and quiet city is widely known for magnificent architecture, pagodas and royal tombs. We will visit Hue’s famous highlights, including the Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City. Afternoon we then take boat cruise on the Perfum River to the surrounding countryside to visit Thiem Mu, or Heavenly Lady Pagoda. One of the most poignant displays here is a car belonging to a former monk, who in 1963, drove to Saigon and set himself alight to protest against the South Vietnamese regime and its treatment of Buddhists. Also worth visiting are the tombs of the former Emperors, in particular that of Emperor Tu Duc. Dinner on your own. OVERNIGHT IN HUE

Day 9 : Hue – Da nang – Hoi An (B,L)

As we bid Hue farewell this morning we continue our south bound journey. Today’s destination is the old trading town of Hoi An. Along the way though we will stop at Lang Co beach for coffee and refreshments. From here we head up to the Hai Van pass, stopping at the top to take in the stunning views north over Lang Co beach and south over Danang city. Continuing on our way down the other side and into Da nang, where we will stop at the Cham Museum, the famed China Beach, and the Marble Mountains. Arriving in Hoi An, check in hotel. In the afternoon, we visit the famous Japanese Covered Bridges, the Pottery Museum, the 200 years old Tam Ky House, the Chua Ong Pagoda, the vibrant market. OVERNIGHT IN HOI AN

Tra Que Village

Day 10 : Hoi An – Cycling to Vegetable village Tra Que (B,L)

After breakfast, ride a bicycle to a local farm in Tra Que village. Here you will get a brief introduction to the history of the village, the cultivation of the vegetables as well as discover the use of vegetables in traditional Vietnamese medicine.

You will take a trip around the vegetable garden and join the farmers in preparing the land and fertilizing it with seaweed from the local lake. You will take part in activities such as raking, sowing, watering greens, picking greens and many more gardening activities. Then spend the rest of the morning working the land in the time honored way, before breaking to prepare lunch with a local family. Your lunch will consist of many local delicacies including ‘tam huu’ spring roll, and banh xeo the local pancake of the people from the middle region. Around 2 pm, bid farewell to your host family before riding back to Cua Dai beach for relax. OVERNIGHT IN HOI AN

Day 11 : Hoi An – Da Nang – Flight to Sai Gon City (B,L)

You are free until transfer to the airport for the flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh, you are picked up and transferred to the hotel in the city centre. In the afternoon, the first place visiting is the War Remnants Museum in Dist 3, Ho Chi Minh. The War Remnants Museum was established in September 1975 in Ho Chi Minh City. Outside the museum are some rooms displaying cultural products of Vietnam. Over the last 20 years, over 6 million visitors entered the museum. Among this number, nearly 1 million were foreign visitors, including American tourists, then continuing to visit General Post Offlice and Notre Dame Cathedral. OVERNIGHT IN HO CHI MINH CITY

Day 12 : Sai Gon – Mekong Delta– Can Tho (B,L)

Moring transfer to My Tho. Take the motorized boat through the Bao Dinh natural canal; view the stilhouse and the fruit plantation along the canal sides. Visit the My Tho wholesale fruit market. Proceed to the Tortoise Island. Lunch served in the heart of the orchard. Enjoy the nice boat ride through the Tan Tach natural canal in Ben Tre, cruise under the shadow of the water coconut trees. Visit the family business where you can experience the agricultural lifestyle. Walk through the fruit plantation in Thoi Son island; enjoy the rowing boat ride on the creeks before returning to My Tho by rowing boat. Proceed to Can Tho. OVERNIGHT IN CAN THO.

Day 13 : Can Tho – Cai rang floating village – Flight to Phu Quoc (B,L)

After breakfast, take the morning boat trip to visit the Phong Dien floating market with the busy sense right at the time. Keep cruising through the small channels system, visit the rice noodles making village. Experience the “monkey Bridge “in the Delta. Visit the second floating market of Cai Rang. Break time for lunch. Transfer to airport for flight to Phu Quoc. Check in hotel. OVERNIGHT IN PHU QUOC

Full day free at leisure. OVERNIGHT IN PHU QUOC

Day 15 : Phu Quoc – Flight to Sai Gon (B)

Spend the morning relaxing on the beach before flight back Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival, pick-up and transfer to hotel. Discover the best animated city of Vietnam. OVERNIGHT IN HO CHI MINH CITY

Day 16 : Departure (B)
