Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, recently held its 2nd Samsung Regional Forum in Istanbul, Turkey outlining its 2011 product portfolio which included innovations in Internet-connected TV’s, consumer-inspired digital cameras and the latest mobile tech and its plans for developing its presence in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region in context of Samsung’s unifying principle – the Smarter Life, the pillars of which are: Smart Design, Smart Experiences and Smart Connections.
Creating the Future of Home Entertainment
Samsung aims to create a connected, intuitive TV experience that entertains consumers. It’s redesigned D8000, D7000 and D5500 LED TV with ultra-narrow bezel features Samsung‘s Smart Hub menu system which is used to easily search for movies, shows and videos via connected devices, browse the Web from their TVs and access a wide variety of apps from Samsung Apps, the world‘s first application store for the television.
Other Samsung innovations that will be introduced to the MENA region in 2011 include; Samsung‘s D7500 wall mounted Blu-ray Player which is only 23 mm in depth but features 2D to 3D conversion enabling consumers to enjoy a 3D experience with pictures, movies and streaming video; the HT-C6750WK Blu-ray Home Theater Systems with full 1080p HD playback of Blu-ray discs and 3D content, powerful 1,330 watt 7.1 channel speaker system which features Samsung‘s Crystal Amplifier technology; Samsung Accessories will include the world‘s lightest, prescription-ready active 3D glasses, Skype-certified HD camera for TV conferencing and a wireless recharger for active 3D glasses; lastly the Samsung Displays like the HD 3D LED Monitor Series 9, including the SA950, which offer full resolution picture quality (1920×1080) and a complete 3D solution in a single package.
